Cards and Flowers

You might guess from the title that Eric got romantic this week and brought me flowers and a card. Not so. I got carried away this Friday night with making cards. I LOVE to make cards! I stayed up until 11:30 while Eric went to bed at 9:30. He was extremely tired from hunting, but I had energy gallore. So, this is the result.

This one could be for anything. I just think it is way cute. I am glad that I made all these, so I have almost every occasion on hand. No more frantically making a card last minute like I did for Maria's birthday...that one: not so cute! Oh, and I also made another one. It was pink and white. It had a pink tag and pink bow..very cute, and I gave it to Maria as a thank you for the wedding present. I forgot to get a picture before I gave it away.

These are the odd ones. Not really sure why I did them. Who wants to get a black card? Happy Birhday! in black? I DON'T think so. "I'm so sorry for your loss" in black? Probably NOT. So, that one might not ever get delivered. The second one, the I'm so happy for you one is not very cute, but maybe I will give it away- who knows!

This one, like the black one, is uneven. I didn't make the front come all the way down, so that the message "Thinking of You" can be seen the whole time! What do you think? I think it is cute.

THANKS and celebrate. One a thank you obviously, and the other for a birthday. Note: The THANKS are set up on the popup sticker kind of things, so it is two dimensional. Or something.

Birthday wishes! Coming someone's way!

This is the first one I did that night, and it is for no occasion in particular. No message on the front, but I think it is cute!

And this is the second thing. When I got home from class on Friday, there was a RED flower on our cement pad. It had come off of one of the neighbors plants, and I thought, "hmm, I am wearing RED today... how perfect!" So, I took it inside and put it in my hair. You can't really tell that it is a flower, because it got a little mutilated by the bobby pin as I was trying to stick it in my hair. Anyway, I had it in all afternoon while I was doing homework, and Eric was gone, so no one ever saw this exciting moment but you. I went over to Steph's at 7, but it was totally wilted by then, so I had taken it out. This is what it looked like...
The point of going over to Steph's was to make a red waldorf cake. It is a chocolate cake and takes tons a red food coloring. We didn't put as much in as it called for, so it wasn't bright red, but it was YUM!
So, as you can see, it was a red day!!!
That is about all the excitement, except for Saturday when we saw Carla and Jared and went to the game that the COWBOYS WON!!
