"Angel's Landing...fatalities have been known to occur...6 deaths since 1990...if anyone of the party feels uncomfortable, please reconsider your hike."
This is what we heard over the bus speaker on our way to the most dangerous hike in the park! I had planned to keep Lucy on safe ground while everyone else continued onward up the treacherous, steep and narrow neck of land that leads to the landing. That plan fell through. But, overall, it was a good experience.
Here we are on my favorite part of the trip...Refrigerator Canyon! It was very cool and very pretty.
This is the narrow ridge that we climbed up. There were chains anchored into the rock nearly the entire way. It was not as scary as I had anticipated--thank goodness! I was so anxious the whole way to the end and back because of Lucy. Luckily we were all kept safe.
Safe and happy at the landing!
After we arrived back on the canyon floor, we got back on a bus and met more family at the narrows. We walked up about a mile and stuck our feet in the river. It felt so good!
