We are lucky enough in our family to have a Stephanie and a Dad. And many others willing to share their knowledge, skills and talents to create a marvelous pack trip to Red Castle! Unfortunately, Clark's family was unable to attend and Monte and Eli could only stay one day, but we did have a good time.
On a cold morning, Lucy was willing to share her orange juice. What a giving girl. She loved walking around the logs placed around the fire. Time and again, she would not resist the blaring offer from earth, "All the DIRT you can EAT!!"
The Mayo kids rode in with Sylvie one morning on Flicka. Sylvie gave several rides throughout the tirp. She was very good to entertain the kids. They love the horses!
Lucy dozed several times on our various outings. It's too bad she couldn't have had a full three hour nap on the way down the mountain. She would have missed the miserable rain and hail storm. Instead, she patiently endured with the rest of us.
At the waterfall, Eric and Lucy nearly had a tumble down the cliff into the river, but the dad kept the baby safe! Go Eric!
Dun, dun, dun.
Beautiful orange tiger trout.
When it started to rain, we left the castle, and opted for the still spacious tent back at camp. We did some crosswords and ate snacks and waited out the storm.
This is how we felt about the whole trip. Yay for packtrips!!!
