After the Christmas holiday, we headed to Wyoming for the New Year holiday. We had a fun time with the Andersons.
Lucy may have loved it best of all. Grandpa Anderson is her favorite and when she had to choose, she would even prefer her grandpa to her mom. I took the time to become a lazy mom. If she wasn't around, I would assume she was with Dad. When I needed to do something and Lucy needed attention, I'd go find Dad. Very handy.

Clark and Steph and their families were around for a lot of the time. Lucy and Allie enjoyed a few moments looking out the window at Abe. They were chatting away and we assumed that the jabber was about the horse.

Lucy returned from feeding the cows at the ranch with this lovely head dress. Gotta keep warm!
On New Year's Eve, we really did a bang-up job of celebrating! Mom put together a marvelous party. It included lots of food. Not pictured: SCONES! Also not pictured: Pretty much everything. I don't know why I waited till the food was devoured to get a picture. But it was YUMMY!
Lucy loved playing with a slinky she found lying around. She also loved getting in the way of the ping-pong games going on. In the end, she had to be escorted from the game room.
We watched a movie on the new TV. It was a good movie--The Ghost and Mr. Chicken--but it gave the old eyes a strain to try and watch from clear across the room. Nice TV. Small, but nice.
We also enjoyed every episode of Guy on a Buffalo via YouTube. The producers of these videos have pure talent.
We really partied it up for a few hours, counted down at 9 PM to the new year and then went to bed.
On New Year's Day, we made ice cream. Dad cooked it up, and Eric and I took turns mixing. It turned out delicious, as always. Another evidence of Lucy's love for Grandpa: She would not take ICE CREAM from anyone but HIM. Wow.

Our family is so blessed.
And now, we are all ready for a brand new year of AWESOMENESS!
