Postholes and Ducks

An excellent combination!

My family came to visit on Saturday. Some of them had tickets to the afternoon session, so they decided to come a little further to see us. And to dig post holes for our fence.
When they arrived at 8:30, we had some bacon, eggs and pancakes for breakfast. Then the men put on their boots and gloves and made some nice deep holes in our dirt. We were so grateful. Maybe mostly me since I didn't have to do anything. I got to stay inside and visit!

And I got to spend some time with this little angel. Shaylie is now two weeks old. What a cuddly little ball of sweetness! I held her just about every minute I could.
The next bigger girls spent some time in Grandpa's arms of course!
Between sessions when some of the family left to SLC, we went to feed the ducks. Ryan stayed behind with Shaylie in the warmth and calm of the house, while we ventured out with some bread to see how many ducks we could find.

Not the calmest of days.

It actually blew Lucy over once.

After the afternoon session Steph's family went home and we went to South Jordan, had a sleepover and watched conference there on Sunday. We were delighted to see Ryan and Angie and their kids. I also was super pleased to be able to enjoy soup and bread bowls for lunch. It had been too long.

We love when we get to enjoy the company of these good people!
Next weekend we will have the opportunity again, when we go to Lonetree to bid Monte farewell for the space of two years. Luckies!
