Wes and Debbie invited us with them to the zoo this weekend. Lucy is at a great age for animal appreciation. We had a great time helping this pretty brown-eyed girl find the different animals.
Lucy likes elephants quite a bit. She loves to watch Coldplay's video for "Paradise" on YouTube. When she wants to watch it, she runs up to me or Eric and says, "Phant, Phant!" So of course she liked the real-life elephants she saw!
Whenever she saw an animal she was familiar with, she would gasp and point. This is her sighting the gorilla.
I didn't take any pictures of the bird show, but I think it was everyone's favorite part. Except for one parrot's crash landing and an injured pigeon, the birds performed flawlessly and it amazed me. Lucy liked the owls in particular and I loved the hugeness of the eagles. The people on the front rows got taps on their heads from the Golden Eagle's wings as it flew so close to them. It was awesome.
By the end of the day, Lucy didn't want her picture taken anymore and kind of reminded me of...
this guy.
