Lucy is obsessed with animals. Whether it is acting like an animal or caring for her stuffed toys, nearly everything she does involves an animal. She does enjoy playing "Grandma." I am Grandma and she packs her suitcase with several outfits and pajamas from her drawers, then brings anything else she might need (like every stuffed animal she owns) and comes to live with me--in the living room. I have her clear out her corner and take it all back up to her bedroom every few days or so.
Sam is obsessed with being like Lucy. He follows her around all day and mopes around when she requests alone time. He eats everything he can get his hands on. I have to be careful about what I leave in the open. The other day he licked out the onion keeper. He requests a share of anything he catches us eating.
Wade is sleeping 6 hours at night, even while camping! He is eating and growing steadily, just reaching 13 pounds at 2 months and landing in the 77th percent for weight. We continue to figure out his moods and needs and he continues to be a happy sweet baby.

Lucy learned how to ride a bike in three days. One morning we were at the Williams' house and she rode Lena's bike with training wheels. She thought it was awesome! A week or so later she really went for it on her own bike, and she picked it right up without the training wheels. On her third day of intense practice, she rode all the way around the cul de sac to the mail and back.--with a couple of wrecks here and there. But she always got started again by herself. |

Sometimes I call him Wadelicious. I just want to kiss those sweet cheeks all day. |

Eric made a blanket ladder and new frames for the mirror and temple picture. He just loves the things I find for him to do on Pinterest. Ha! The whole great room ties together very nicely now. |

Lucy and her puppy Cali. This girl LOVES her animals. |

We went for a day up Mirror Lake Highway. We picnicked, fished, walked and dined. There were still snowdrifts here and there and lots of water everywhere, which the kids really enjoyed. Also, during the week of Dad's scout camp, we had the Williams' over for lunch and sprinklers! |

This scripture hero was Joseph of Egypt. I prepared in all of 10 minutes, but the kids enjoyed it. We watched the Old Testament videos and they decorated two coats--one for Joseph and one of their own. And Snazzy Sunday of course! |

We made our annual trip to the Gorge! Grandpa brought both boats and we had the best time ever. The pontoon floated about in a bay we had to ourselves and the speedboat pulled the skiers around it. Everyone was nice enough to let me take the first run and it was glorious! I was afraid I wouldn't even get up, being out of practice and abdominal muscles out of shape. But, success! I got up the second try and had gorgeous water. The weather was perfect and the company was awesome! Grandma, Grandpa, Monte and Tessa, and Steph and her kids all came. It was a blast! |
 |
The day after the Gorge, we went camping at Marsh Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Cropper, and Wes's family. The weather was sizzling, and we were low on the shade, but we had fun. We tried out our new instant tent and loved it. We went for a short hike and Dad did lots of fishing. Lucy and Sam loved playing with the cousins and even enjoyed a movie in the tent one day! |

Lucy always loves visiting Lonetree and it's her first choice vacation destination. But on the way home this last weekend we were stuck in traffic jams on I-80 in the heat for an hour and a half without air conditioning. It was miserable for all and after much whining and complaining and sweat, Lucy said, " I don't ever want to go to Grandpa Anderson's house! It takes too long!" |
