Mother's Day Weekend

We spent this Mother's Day weekend in Lonetree loving on baby animals.  Grandma and Grandpa had recently hatched goslings and we had such a fun time with them.  If we went out in the canoe, the babies would swim to follow us.  They were in the greenhouse while we planted.  They were so cute.  Sadly, a few of them died of cold during the night, and the cat got one, so none are left now.  But they were delightful while they lasted.  It makes me want geese one day.

We took a day to fish at the Gorge.  Jace and Ryan came along with us.  This was Wade's first time casting his long awaited Spider-Man pole.  He and Jace shared  and lost a few bobbers thru the day.  We were able to get them back by throwing rocks on the opposite side so they would come back to shore.  Annie liked throwing rocks in the water and loved all the rocks in general.

We left Lonetree on Sunday to make it to Midway for lunch.  Ryan and Angie had just built a house and it felt like a housewarming. Their house is beautiful and up on a hillside with fields in the back.  They made pastas and sauces and we had a good time visiting.  This was Lucy's first time meeting the Stephens' new dog, Daisy.
