A New Haircut

While I was pregnant with Lucy, I decided to grow my hair out to see how long it would get. (I heard that pregnancy speeds up hair growth.) A few months after she was born, I wanted to cut it. Because I have a history of being fickle, (or from the dictionary: "unsteadfast") Eric came up with a plan to ensure that I would not regret my choice. He thought that if I wanted short hair for 10 days in a row, then it would be a good choice to cut it.

For many days, I had to record the date and sign my name on a piece of paper. Then Eric would initial by my signature. This went on for a while, but I could never get 10 days in a row. Sometimes I would forget, sometimes we would leave town and forget to pack the paper.

But, because this went on for a couple months (with the majority of the days finding me wanting short hair), and because Eric has never had a preference to my hair length anyway, I had it cut without meeting the 10-day requirement.

Cara cut my hair a couple of weeks ago. This is what I look like now.

And Eric and I are both happy.
