The purchase of a new-build brings with it so many opportunities to WORK! Eric has been very busy lately. He spread 15 cubic yards of compost mulch over our clay dirt and tilled it in. He prepped and tilled the garden and designed and completed the sprinkler system for lawn and garden.
Yesterday I took pictures of some of our latest projects.
Eric built these molds to make a lovely curb around our many feet of flower beds.
We added this to...
this and some water.
And we ended up with this.
I think it looks pretty good, and I am so excited that the front yard is now completely ready for grass!
A few weeks ago, Eric finished the stairs off of the deck. He did such a great job and we love having access from the back!
At about that same time, we planted our garden. I was so excited to see things start popping up. I hope our veggies continue to grow well. I love Eric's automatic sprinkler set-up.
The awesome row in the middle is peas. Wow. Also, our corn is now four and five inches tall. The only thing that seems to be struggling is onion, but I think I planted it way too late. If it doesn't catch up, I think I will plant again for a fall crop later.
Eric has been working like crazy lately and it is so fun to see the progress.

But we are looking forward to being "done" in a couple of weeks.
Summer is for camping, not working!
You guys are seriously the cutest family ever! I loved reading about all the fun things you did over memorial day weekend and your yard looks AWESOME! My kids are loving the whole garden thing (except ours are just in pots). But so fun! BTW i love the look of the red brick!
