The last camping trip of the summer was this last weekend. It was the Buckner Family Reunion. We arrived late because of Sam's teething situation. He wallowed in misery all morning until 3 PM when his fever ran down and he stopped screaming. I had no opportunity to do much of anything all day but he is now two teeth richer!
We got to the cabin just in time to set up our tent before dark.
We took the camera on the excursions, one to Mirror Lake and one to the "boat-racing stream." And we took over 100 photos, but few were of the four of us.
The first full day found us at Mirror Lake. Activities included wading and swimming, a yummy lunch, hiking and boat races.
The boat race was fun. At the last minute Lucy wanted to build a boat. Mostly just have a boat I guess since she wasn't really interested or present during the building. Mom got creative and built a Brother of Jared barge, folding a paper plate and wrapping it tight like a dish with duct tape. She dubbed it
Lucy's "Rainbow"t.
We also enjoyed eating cookies, a variety show, writing to our missionaries, yummy food (once again), and talking with each other. It was a fabulous reunion!
I haven't checked your blog for way too long! i love all these new posts. you are such a great mom. and your pictures are beautiful! you are talented!
