Perfection

Last week we enjoyed a perfect day.  Days like this don't come too terribly often, making them sweet, sweet moments in the blur of daily life.  It may have been solely the sunshine, or it may have been that I didn't worry about keeping a spotless house.  Whatever the reason, I was grateful for a fantastic day with my children and felt blessed all day long.

This was our perfect morning.

After breakfast, the kids and I got dressed and ready for the day.  We went on a walk which ended at the park.  Lucy pushed her baby in it's stroller while I pushed mine in his.  There was swinging and climbing and more swinging at the park.  Lucy and I pushed the babies home, put them to bed and started weeding the flowerbeds.

I spotted a butterfly and went to get Lu's net.  She had a fun time trying to catch it, but had no success.  She was quite violent in fact, using the net as more of a swatter.  It's probably good the butterfly got away!

Christy came over and we visited for a bit.  Chelsea stayed to play with us while Christy prepared for her shopping trip.  We finished the weeding and started cleaning out the tomato plants.  When we tired of that, we walked around the neighborhood until Christy was ready to go.  Then we went in for lunch.

The day continued on in a productive, fun, sunny and warm way.  Everyone was happy; I felt like a good mom and the children were adorable little angels.  It was fantastic, beautiful and perfect.
