This month was full of travel and adventure and the time flew by! We went to Lonetree twice for fishing, had a day out with Marisa, and celebrated a holiday and a birthday!
We had a lot of friend time. Chelsey is a good friend for both Sam and Lucy as she is right between their ages. We love to visit at Chelsey's house, and she came here a couple of times too! We had Lucy's school at our house twice this month. One time Ava was out of town and it was very quiet. I think the girls didn't know what to do without her! But when she is at school, they love to dance all dressed up. Sam runs around in circles with them and has a blast. |
On St. Patrick's Day, we went to visit at Christy's house and she sent us home with cupcakes! We all enjoyed them after dinner when Dad got home and we played Roll a Rainbow for entertainment during the day. |
We went to visit at Lonetree twice during the month. We had a fun Apple Dumpling Party--watched the Apple Dumpling Gang, ate apple dumplings, played apple bingo and crafted apple trees! We ate soft serve ice cream in abundance and played with cousins at Steph and Ryan's house while the men were fishing. |
Sylvie's dog, Ruby, birthed eight puppies on Valentine's Day. Lucy cannot get enough of them and Sam is terrified of them. |
Snazzy (nose-picking) Sundays! |
One Sunday, we took a family walk around Stansbury Lake and the golf course. We moseyed along watching the ducks, jumping down stairs, taking pictures and enjoying the weather. |
We went with Marisa to the aquarium. Sam was scared of everything and didn't show much excitement until the last half hour. Lucy loved everything about the place. The kids have always been interested in learning about animals and we have had a couple animal encyclopedias checked out from the library lately. We liked seeing lots of the same things at the aquarium that we have been reading about in our books. |
The kiddos got some souvenirs from the gift shop and Lucy sleeps with Pinky Penguin and Sam with Bruce (great white shark) every night. Thanks for the fun time Marisa! |
Lucy rode Lena's bike with training wheels when we were out visiting friends and she thought it was the greatest. We decided to try her bike without training wheels. One tire would not pump up, so when we went to Walmart we bought a new tube. Dad fixed it and helped Lucy start learning how to ride. Hopefully she will get the hang of it soon. She loves the speed! |
The sky was a beautiful bright pink, and I had the kids go outside to enjoy the beauty. Sam didn't notice the beauty through all his shivering. :) |
One scripture hero we did this month was Helaman and his sons, and we included Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty in the same lesson. We also learned about Ammon (Power of a missionary) and the brother of Jared (Power of faith). |
And another month that ends with a birthday celebration! We gave Eric a new Sunday shirt and gummy worms. The kids had hoped throughout the week that Dad would share with them once they were opened. Their dream came true! We had our Cropper grandparents and Wesley's family over for Caramel Drizzle Cake and ice cream. |
Quote of the Month:
Lucy: "Mom, don't forget to take a hot shower to help feel your back better!" Such a sweet girl. :)
