April

I always love April.  It means Spring, Easter, General Conference and now a birthday in the family.  Reasons to celebrate and be joyful all month long!

We began the month with visits to both grandparents and had a very happy Easter!

When it snows, Lucy proclaims that it's her lucky day!  She didn't get too many lucky days this year, but April 15th  was one of them!  The kids made several trails and ended the wintry fun with mugs of hot chocolate at 8 AM.

We wanted to blow bubbles one morning but our store-bought solution was not working real well.  So we made one of our own and some wands too--out of chenille stems and beads.  Our stuff worked much better and I was so proud when Sam even blew some of his own!

We watched Sylvie golf a round at Wasatch Mountain.  Sam and Lucy walked the entire back nine.  Afterward, we ate lunch in the bus, which may have been the highlight for the kids!

After the golf round, we drove to Strawberry Reservoir.  Dad did some fishing and the rest of us did some exploring!  It was a bit rainy and cloudy, but it was very enjoyable.  Sam kept on the lookout for a "big deer."

Sam was asked to put his dinosaurs away.  Several minutes later, I realized that he had found a new spot where he thought they should go.  :o)

The biting gnats were out again at our house this spring.  But they don't exist at Lakepoint Park so we had some very enjoyable days here!

Tower time!  The kids LOVE when Dad plays too.

Sam loves to do puzzles.  He spends a ton of time at them and he is getting really good!

Wade was born on the 26th in perfect health!  We are so grateful for him!

On the way home from the hospital with Wade, we stopped at Temple Square to meet with Steph and Ryan's family.  Before they arrived we held a photo shoot. :)

Quotes of the month:

Sam:  "When is the baby coming out?"
Mom:  "I don't know.  Hopefully soon!"
Sam:  "Yeah.  He squished.  Like a bug!"

The children were playing hide and seek in the living room.  Lucy was laying in the middle of the room under a blanket with her head poking out.
Lucy:  "Sam, cover me up and go over to the couch and see if you can remember where I am."
