Thanksgiving Break!!

This Thanksgiving break was wonderful! We went to Lonetree first, which is the location of all photos following. It was most relaxing and full of happiness! Dinner was good, and these are all pictures taken on the day of.

Eric posed at the back door for Betsy. Betsy was impressed with his handsome face and said, "Ooo, good smile Eric!" (and wanted to give his face a kiss, but we were in public.)

Rosie posed at the chimney in the driveway. Betsy found her playing by herself while the other kids were on the trampoline. Betsy found that Rosie is also a good poser (nearly as expert as Eric) but it only lasts for about .75 second, and then she immediately walks toward the camera wanting to see herself on the screen. Taking pictures of Rosie, Betsy constantly found herself saying, "Wait, wait, wait. Just a sec Rose Pose." (Rose Pose being a nickname from Betsy, not a command.)
Betsy wanted to take a picture of these kids on the tramp. She thinks they are the two cutest little boys ever to exist!

This is Porter, and although it is hard to tell from the picture, he is indeed cheesing for the camera. What a sweetheart!
We enjoyed numerous forms of animal life in Lonetree. Eric rounded up some cows on Dunston and Betsy loved bottle feeding the milk cow's calf Minnie! She thinks Minnie is the cutest calf ever to be born. This is them in a picture taken by Eric.

Betsy and Minnie again. Eric was so nice to take pictures (he thought Betsy was silly, though.)

We also had a great time in South Jordan. Everyone was there except for Ryan's family. We went shopping on Friday and spent gift cards at Bed, Bath and Beyond and at Deseret Book. Eric was so sweet and told Betsy to get whatever she wanted. Betsy was so grateful to Eric and loved picking decorations for our home. Being a decorating-loving sort of girl, she picked items that she has in mind for a new house when we move. Our walls now lack the capacity for the beautiful new decorations.
Eric continued to spoil Betsy all day, and we got to go to JAMBA JUICE!!! Betsy LOVES IT SO MUCH! She chose Carribean Passion, which was delicious. And we got a gift for Ryan and Angie and Family while we were out and about. We were also able to go to the Jordan River Temple on Saturday morning. We loved it. Betsy said, "That was a good time. So good." Eric agreed.
We watched the BYU/Utah game and Betsy threw a fit when BYU won. (Eric attempted to calm her down, and sent her to her room, where she studied Chemistry for her upcoming Lab Final.) We also were able to play lots of fun games with the family and partook of delectable breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
We stole some things from the Cropper home on our way out of town. Betsy read The Christmas Box to Eric on the way home, and is delighted with the story (Eric was likewise touched at the outcome) and is glad that she also grabbed The Carousel, and is hoping it is as inspiring.
The ride home was long, but luckily consisted of a lunch break at the KOA. Interestingly, Betsy was shaking with hunger and we were delighted to rediscover the deliciousness of Grandma's cooking. Thank you so much to her and her willingness to share!!
We are now oh so happy to be at home again, and after a fabulous break, we are ready to tackle two more weeks of grueling schoolwork!
