Last Saturday, we went up to the mountains to get Christmas trees with Steph and Clark's families. It was very enjoyable. Ryan's jeep got stuck at one point, but Betsy cheerily observed that we had plenty of men around, and indeed, the jeep was not stuck for long. We entered a no entry zone, and had a picnic in the closed campground. Betsy felt hesitant and anxious, but realized that she had no choice but to follow if she wanted anything for lunch. The trees we got look good in their new homes. It makes us wish we had gotten one, but we will be off on other adventures for the next few weeks anyway.
We are both done with the semester. Eric was done on Tuesday, and when he got home he did a dance in the frontroom (and muttered celebratory words that Betsy could not decipher). Betsy got done just today, and is feeling like celebrating (she would do a dance as well, but her physical condition will not allow, unfortunately). She woke up today with major back pain in the southern region of the lumbar complex. She went to the chiropractor right before her last final, and walked out of her final at a turtle's pace. She was so preoccupied that it took her getting down to the first floor and almost out of the building before she smiled, remembering that her semester was officially over! We went home and watched a movie so that Betsy could lie down until her second chiropractor visit of the day (He observed that she was so physically messed up that he told her to come back after her final for a second adjustment, free of charge,if she was still in pain. She was.) Betsy marvelled that her back still popped just as much the second time (if not more.)
Betsy is excited for Christmas, and glad that she can focus more on it now that she is done with school. We are also excited to go to Cheyenne tomorrow to pick up Betsy's ring that has been resized. She is glad that she will no longer have to push it back on her finger right before it falls off!
