Jam

On Wednesday we made freezer jam!  I started on the raspberry jam after Eric left for work and finished it up just after the kids woke up.  That was my first efforts at making raspberry jam and I loved it.  We also made strawberry jam in the afternoon.  I needed to get more pectin for this batch, so I dropped the kids at Christy's since I didn't have the carseats.  I returned and put Sam to bed while Lucy stayed to play at Christy's house.  I was supposed to make the strawberry jam then, but realized what a disaster land the kitchen was.  Plus, all the stuff I really needed was dirty from the morning jam session.  So I did dishes instead.  Then I went to pick up Lucy, but accidentally stayed and visited with Christy for an hour. :)  When we finally made it back, Lucy helped me make the jam.  Both of the kids love to 'help' in the kitchen, but at this age, Lucy is actually helpful. :)
