Memorial Day Weekend

We went to Lonetree for the Memorial Day golf tournament at the Lonetee, but the golf was cancelled because of snow. We did get to go up to Hoop Lake and Eric caught some fish! We all thought his tiger trout was pretty cool. I think the founder should have done more research and named it the leopard trout.

Porter enjoyed seeing Eric's fish, as well as his own. He caught a couple and was good at taking care of them. He fed them power bait, carried them around (dragging on the ground) and even warmed them up by the fire!

Eric also got a rainbow.

I attempted to fish, but messed up Eric's pole in the process. For the remainder of the trip, Lucy and I didn't fish. We sat by the fire trying to stay warm despite the very cold wind.

Me and Steph and our girls....

I was excited to see how Lucy would react to her first swim. She loved it! Luckily, the pool was very warm while we were there, and we had a really good time in the hot tub! Lucy loves the water. She liked walking on the little end, and she loved splashing.

Unfortunately, when we got home after our fun weekend, Lucy got sick. On Tuesday morning, she woke up crying at 5 so I fed her, but she woke up again at 6. So early in the morning, I didn't realize that she shouldn't be hungry, so I fed her again. She didn't eat much. She was being really whiney, so I put her to bed while I made breakfast. Eric brought her down later and she still wouldn't stop crying.

After Eric left for work, I cuddled with her while reading Dr. Seuss and she fell asleep (the first time that has ever happened!) So, I laid her on the couch so I could do the dishes. She woke up and started complaining again. I picked her up and took her into the kitchen. And it was a good place to be, because she threw up. All over me, all over her, and all over the floor.

We both needed a bath. I put Lucy in her tub, and in .5 second, she looked like this:

The warm water put her right to sleep. She slept through the bath, and she slept through my picking her up out of the bath. She woke up a little when I diapered her, and then she went to sleep in her crib. She slept for most of the day, and seemed to feel a little better in the afternoon. I am glad she got whatever was bothering her out of her tummy.

It was sad that she was sick, but I loved taking care of her. I loved doing what I could to make her feel better, and I loved the cuddling. But, I am happy that she is healthy again!
