Giddy About The Garden

When we got back from the Wyoming trip, we were astounded at the size of our garden.  (And now looking at these pictures again almost two weeks later, I am again amazed at how quickly everything grows.)  Anyway, when we arrived home that Saturday night, we were excited.  In fact, I couldn't help calling my mother to tell her we were seeing produce!

When we left, the peas were sporting lots of beautiful blossoms, but no pods.

Before we left, there were only blossoms on the squash and zucchini plants.  One of the zucchinis I picked was larger than my forearm.

I froze enough zucchini to make six loaves of bread and we ate up the rest.  Since then, we haven't really been able to keep up with the growth and have been giving some to neighbors.  And this weekend, I am going to try canning beets.  I hope I do okay.
