Mirror Lake Day

We enjoyed our annual sledding/fishing trip on Mirror Lake Highway in mid June this year.  We accidentally went on "National Get Out in Nature Day" and didn't have to pay the fee.  We started at Mirror Lake and got almost half way around before we got hungry and turned back.  We caught lots of small fish as usual and Wade practiced casting his Spider-Man pole.

At first we weren't sure there would be enough snow to sled, but we ended up having so much fun thanks to Dad.  He tried standing on the sled and face planted.  HILARIOUS.  Lucy was so excited to try after that.  Sam went next.  They were both very good at it, and we have some great videos.  Mom was eventually forced to try as well.  Her videos are not great.  We had a picnic below the snow bank and Wade and Annie got in some good hammocking time while we were in the snow.  Wade had counted to 100 for the first time earlier in the week, so we got to pick up shakes on the way home!  Such a fun day!
