The Harvest

When we got back from conference, we decided to harvest the garden.  The tomatoes were out of control, and that was the biggest issue.  They were so overgrown, that it was hard to step between them and we didn't use cages so they ran everywhere.  This made an excellent cover for rodents.  And I am afraid of rodents.  So I stopped picking tomatoes a while back and Eric took over.  Anyway, Eric braved the mice and pulled up the plants, placing them on the lawn for me to pick the tomatoes.

This plant was huge, obviously.  And, had a rodent living in it.  But Eric got him in the end!

We picked the pumpkins and butternuts that were ready, tied up the cornstalks, buried the carrots and beets in sand and Eric stored the watering system for next year.  Our garden is now looking very empty, and our pantry very full!
Oh my, when is that woman going to have that baby!?!
